'06 Jeep Liberty

Jeep has launched a transformed model of Liberty in 2006. It is more suitable to owners who want their SUV to be compatible even off-highway. It is a four wheel drive and 160 hp is the standard, but the 4-cyl gas engine isn’t there anymore.

The alloy wheels measure 16 inches and it carries the trademark Jeep grill with vertical seven rectangles and round headlights. There are three levels in the 2006 Jeep Liberty: Renegade, Sports and Limited.

2006 Jeep Liberty is an anti-skid special with an exterior tire. It is rated the highest in the 2006 safety test for frontal and rear protection and has optional airbags in side curtains.

Other available options are leather upholstery and power roof that add up to its interiors. It comes with only a 5-speed automatic, but 6-speed is available as an option. Liberty engine in the most basic model is a 3.7 liter.

'08 Jeep Liberty

The latest release of 2008 by Jeep is its nouveau Liberty model with advanced tech features. The SUV’s 4x2 wheel drive gives sturdy looks and has replenished interiors.

Unlike earlier models, the stereo in the 2008 Jeep Liberty is a more navigable two-line dot matrix. There is an option of power slide roof for every passenger to enjoy. There is no change in the engine and is the same 3.7 liter V6. The engine is enhanced with an improved front suspension and five-link rear suspension.

The 2008 Jeep Liberty comes with are rain sensor wipers and memory mirrors and seats. In this new model, there are only two levels: Sports and Limited. Renegade is not launched as yet.

The safety system is more sophisticated with anti lock brakes and traction control wheels and tire pressure monitoring. The rear seats can be folded to get more space for cargo. The new Liberty also assists in hill climbing and controls the brake pressure while descending.

The 2005 Jeep Liberty serves its owner with good balancing power. It is a ride for people who enjoy quick weekend getaway off-road. This SUV is good on-road also but is primarily designed for off-road driving. The base model is a 150 hp 4-cylindrical turbo-diesel engine.

The interior of a 2005 Jeep Liberty are very spacious with foldable rear seats. It can accommodate five people with their respective gears easily. If the back seats are folded it can carry two people with sizable cargo anywhere.

Unlike earlier models, 2005 has double density foam in the seats and their height can be adjusted. New optional additions to this model of Liberty are navigation system, Chrysler’s Uconnect (wireless audio system) and satellite radio.

Safety options offered in Liberty are more sophisticated; they offer airbags in side curtains. In an emergency, as soon as a bag is deployed, the fuel turns off and doors are unlocked.
