2006 Jeep Liberty

In 2006 Jeep decided to get rid of the four-cylinder gasoline version of their Jeep Liberty. The only options available for the 2006 Jeep Liberty are the four-cylinder diesel or the 210-hp V-6. Jeep soon found out that the choice of diesel was an extremely wise decision. You're only able to obtain an automatic transmission on the diesel version of the 2006 Jeep Liberty. A manual transmission is available on the gasoline-powered version.

Once an option on previous versions of the Jeep Liberty, antilock four wheel disc brakes are now a standard feature of the 2006 Jeep Liberty. Side airbags are still an optional feature in the '06 Liberty. You can have your Liberty equipped with leather seats, heated seats, satellite radio, and Uconnect, which transforms the vehicle's audio system into a method of linking with cell phones.

With the choice of diesel as an option, 2006 was a great year for the Jeep Liberty. It is always a sturdy rugged SUV for all your off road adventures, but now it is also the vehicle of choice for stylish traveling in the city
